Hello there my neglected Vox blog. How are you?
Don't be so upset that I haven't been using you much lately, I haven't been doing much of anything. I had a single goal for myself, come up with a review of "The Innocents" for one of my other blogs (don't worry you are still dear to me) by June 18 and yet here it is the 21 and all I have is a version of the review that I am completely and utterly dissatisfied with. I also have a wicked case of writers block, low caffeine headache, and I am quite sure the heat+humidity is slowly driving me insane.
Things aren't all bad though, on Tuesday "Black Snake Moan" makes it's way onto DVD. This makes me happy because I desperately wanted to see that in the theater but unfortunately in the middle of nowhere/bible belt here no theater within an hour and a half carried it.
If anyone needs me I'll be up in the balcony with Waldorf and Statler working on my cranky skills.
TV, books, movies: Who's your favorite fictional father?
Until recently I more than likely would have had trouble coming up with this one. Oh sure after a little back and forth inner dialog I would have come up with a name (Probably Peter Griffin) but then I went and watched "To Kill a Mockingbird" and frankly my opinion on fictional dads changed quite a bit. So My answer is of course Atticus Finch, I truly couldn't think of a better role model for any children.
Plus to be fair you have to admit. The name Atticus is completely awesome!
In case you are interested I did a little bit of a review of Mockingbird Right Here
